So I’m currently travelling up to Edinburgh and fancied watching the semi final of the snooker on my phone. A quick check of the app store shows MyPlayer. I give that a try but then find out that BBC content has been removed due to a licensing issue. Another search showed no official BBC app so I thought I’d try the iPlayer site direct. My phone isn’t supported. Ah, but the BBC news site has an embedded live player for the snooker. And my phone supports Flash. Result! Or if would have been if the embedded player was working. So no snooker for me. The BBC: well worth the licence fee.
