As Wez said last night, coming 2nd just means that you’re the first loser. Happily, he was only joking.

The battle of the bands actually went a lot better than I thought it would - there were judges instead of a crowd vote and there was a prize for 2nd place. Which was nice cause we came 2nd.

Many congratulations to Seratone for winning. Excellent cover version of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’.

To be honest, I thought that Redhouse deserved to win. Played an excellent set and really got the crowd going. If you’ve not seen this band, then I’d highly recommend getting along to see them.

Now we’ve just got to prepare for the next Battle of the Bands comp that we’ll be playing in on Sunday at Irvine’s Rivergate Centre. This one’s being run by WestFM so should be a bigger affair than the one at The Arena. We’re on at the quite strange time of 12:30 in the afternoon, so drop in if you fancy it.
