after revenge

Well, seen it twice now and still think it’s the best of the Star Wars movies. There’s plenty of people seem to be complaining about the dialogue and such and saying that it’s nothing compared to the old ones but I’ve got a feeling they’re looking at the old films with quite a bit of nostalgia. I’m sure if Jedi was released just now, everyone would be complaining about the teddy bears running around the place.

I just though that Revenge if the Sith was quality throughout. Effects were amazing, story was excellent, and I thought the acting was fine. I’ve heard complaints that Anakin turned to the dark side too easily - he spent the previous film and this one keeping his anger in check (failing when murdering all the Sand People and then Dooku) and eventually gives in after assisting in the murder of Mace Windu. Don’t think he had much choice.

The other complaint I’ve heard is that Anakin should easily have defeated Obi-Wan as he was the better swordsman. The only reason Anakin lost is that he got way too cocky and thought he could kill Obi-Wan by jumping way over him from below, something Obi-Wan begs him not to even try.

Of course, everyone’s got their own opinion. I highly enjoyed it though. Got to be the best opening sequence of any of the Star Wars movies.

Just need to wait 20-odd years to see if George decides to make episodes 7-9. Here’s hoping…
